…President meets State Coordinators
The campaign build-up ahead of the 2027 presidential election gained significant momentum yesterday, as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu convened a strategic meeting with the 36 state coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The high-level meeting, seen as a major signal of the early mobilization efforts for the next general election cycle, brought together key figures within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Among those in attendance were Vice-President Kashim Shettima, APC governors from across the federation, the party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, as well as other senior party leaders and political stakeholders.
Sources familiar with the meeting said discussions centered on strengthening grassroots structures, consolidating support bases across the states, and fine-tuning the strategic framework for the President’s anticipated re-election campaign in 2027.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a grassroots political mobilization platform, was established by President Tinubu on November 25, 2025, as part of efforts to deepen citizen engagement and promote the ideals of his administration’s “Renewed Hope” agenda. The group is widely regarded as a key political vehicle for driving awareness of government policies while also galvanizing nationwide support for the President’s second-term ambition.
Political observers say the gathering at the Presidential Villa underscores the APC’s determination to begin early preparations ahead of the 2027 presidential polls, with a strong emphasis on state-by-state coordination and voter outreach. The presence of party governors and senior leaders at the meeting is also being interpreted as a show of unity within the APC and an indication of the party’s resolve to retain power at the federal level.
Details of the meeting expected to emerge thereafter was however not forthcoming as of the time of filing this report.
